FACILITY At Boston University Sargent Center, our Hancock site offers 720 acres of forest, pond, meadow, river, and bog communities. This living laboratory provides students and teachers to discover the wonders of ecology and geology that cannot be found inside the classroom.

ACCOMMODATION Students can stay in one of three large cabins, Berthune, Frost, or the Cather cabin which is across the road situated on Half Moon Pond. Schools also have the option to use the smaller cabins: Carver, Carson, Emerson, Thoreau, Twain, and Leopold.

LOCATION With an emphasis on team and character building, the Sargent Center offers school groups a distinct educational experience. Hosting Nature’s Classroom’s only high ropes course, students have the opportunity to push their comfort limits and challenge themselves. The 720-acres of forest, river, and pond is ideal for fostering inquiry and discovery.
